Unlock $100,000 in funding for the Artificial Kidney Project
Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar!
Thanks to generous friends, every day we get closer to the creation of a fully functioning, implantable bioartificial kidney that will give patients new hope beyond the short-term solution of renal dialysis and the longer-term, but impermanent, solution of a living kidney transplant.
We know we can achieve our goal. The fundamental science has been established and our research team is working hard to arrive at a viable alternative for kidney failure patients. Based on our current research, we are confident that we will move out of pre-clinical work and into our first-in-human clinical trials in late 2017 or early 2018.
To reach that milestone, we need to raise $200,000 by December 31. Together, we can do that. We have a funding opportunity to match your donations dollar for dollar up to $100,000. That's half the goal. During this season of giving, please take a moment now and contribute to this special initiative for the UCSF Artificial Kidney.
For every dollar you give – whether it's one dollar, one hundred dollars, a thousand dollars – your gift doubles due to the generosity of our loyal donor. Please know that the impact of your generosity extends far beyond the pre-clinical trials. Your thoughtful generosity offers hope to those who look forward to a future free of dialysis and kidney transplants. That is a powerful message that inspires people from around the world. Please join us in changing the world.
