4th Annual Robin's Ride for Breast Cancer Research
You are cordially invited to a celebration of life - for our mom Robin Beth Greenwood (1956-1991)! Robin's Ride is our annual event that raises money for the Robin Beth Greenwood Foundation for Breast Cancer Research at UCSF. Robin was our brilliant, kind, beautiful, mother who always taught us to follow our bliss. Unfortunately our mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was just 32 years old. She fought very very very hard, undergoing multiple treatments, conventional and experimental, willing to do anything to beat this disease, never giving up hope that she would win her battle and be able to watch her children grow up. Sadly we lost our mom to this disease when she was only 35 years old.
When our mom was diagnosed with breast cancer it was almost unheard of for someone in their young 30s to get this disease. Sadly we now see women even younger than this, in their 20s diagnosed with this disease. The goal of our foundation is to donate to cutting edge research and breast cancer care/treatments at UCSF so that fewer children lose their mom and less women (and men) lose their fight against breast cancer.
Robin's Ride is our way to contribute to this cause in a fun way that encourages physical activity/fitness, love, and CELEBRATING LIFE. Thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts for your endless support in the fight against breast cancer, something so near and dear to us.
